Research and Support

One important thing I discovered is that if you choose to preplan your loved ones funeral, it is vitally important to make sure you have someone supportive with you, and to not have to make these decisions alone. If you find you are having a hard time emotionally with making plans, have someone close to you that you trust do it for you. I was blessed to have my mom with me both physically and in prayer. I made the calls, and searched the internet, made appointments and narrowed things down for my mom, then we went and made the final decisions together. In researching a final resting place, I found the local city websites to be very beneficial. Also, you can search funeral homes and cemeteries on the web, or in the yellow pages. Just find their website and request information to be sent to you, or call and tell them you are interested in pre planning a funeral. It is a hard decision, but one of the best we made. When it was time for Kristol to be called home, it was a blessing to not worry about the next step in planning a funeral, and it gave us the time we needed to be together and just grieve. All we did is make a phone call, and they handled the rest. ♥ Sissy April

Planning Ahead

When looking for funeral arrangements, I had called several places, looked numerous things up online, and cried the entire time! I ended up going with Todd Memorial Chapel located on Garey Ave. in Pomona, Ca. They have lots of payment options available and were absolutely amazing! They were kind, considerate, caring, and extremely professional. For those in the Inland Empire area, I would definitely recommend Todd Memorial. Check out their website, which has numerous resources available. You can also call or visit them to just discuss starting to preplan a funeral, they will send you information, no strings attached. Choosing a Resting Place

We decided that we didn't want her buried alone, and chose her final resting place to be along side of her baby cousin Brodie who was lost in infancy. We drove down to Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, walked into the little office, and at first they didn't seem to have one available in that area. After kindly working with us, and showing an extreme amount of patience, we ended up with a plot directly next to her baby cousin! It is a beautiful cemetery, and they keep things up so wonderfully. I definitely recommend looking them up!! Oak Park Cemetery, City of Claremont
