Verses

Here are verses that helped me along and gave me strength and encouragement!

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” When difficult things happen in life, it’s hard to look at those difficult situations as being a blessing. From day one, we saw our daughter as a blessing and loved her with all our hearts. As time wore on, additional diagnoses were brought to our attention that made it very difficult. To see our daughter go through such pain brought tears and prayers. To realize that Krissie was not only a blessing, but a gift sent from God, brought hope and peace. After all, God gave us the name before she was born, not knowing she was going to be special, and her name means “pure, anointed gift from God!”

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” This next verse is also a special family verse. Because she was a good gift, Krissie was the blessing in our life that God used to begin a good work in us! From her birth to her death we have this promise that God will accomplish everything he has begun! We believe it!
